Random act of kindness in Jacksonville leads to more sparks of joy...
A spontaneous gesture from Todd Alverez, a Team Member at Chick-fil-A River City Marketplace in Florida, also wound up multiplying joy. One day, Rick noticed a woman in the drive-thru line who appeared to be young and fighting cancer. He learned that her name was Lauren and she was undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital, so he offered her a complimentary milkshake. Lauren left the restaurant and began texting her friends and family about the happy surprise.
News of her serendipity reached her brother-in-law, Lukas Fortunato, who works in the Chick-fil-A Support Center (the company’s corporate headquarters) in Atlanta. Lukas immediately called the restaurant to praise Alverez for his kindness and said that Lauren’s last chemo treatment would happen the following week. When Rick and his restaurant Operator learned this news, they decided to surprise Lauren and the doctors and nurses treating her with a celebratory lunch. “It shows a lot about the Chick-fil-A community and what they stand for,” said Lauren. “That was a good cherry on top as I finished out my last round of chemo.”

The person I would like to recognize is my 10 year old son. My family and I were driving downtown, and my son saw a homeless man with no shoes. My son knew his dad had a spare pair of work boots in the car and a coat. He then took the shoes, coat and all the spare change and gave it to the man. It just amazes me how much he thinks of others without being told. I love the kindness in his heart.

Chick-fil-A I want to thank you for your kindness, Your Employees are awesome, all of them, I have never had a bad experience, I was given this gift card and asked to share a special experience and I was also told to have a BLESSED DAY, and it made me smile 😊 so thank you. So Chick-fil-A thanks for the gift card and thanks for your point system. On this particular day I didn’t have much money to spend, but I wanted to treat myself and I thought I have Chick-fil-A points I can use for breakfast and to top it off I got a gift card that made my day, and there has been countless days over the years, I order something and there is a extra hash brown or biscuit in my bag for some special prize, you all bless your customers with and it makes me smile and I can share and pass on the blessings. Thanks for the great food, employees and giving back to your customers/community, you all are awesome.
